The Line of Pressure (LoP)

The Line of Pressure (LoP) is the line joining the Center of Pressure (CoP) of each foot, versus the target line. There is a correlation between the direction of the LoP during transition, downswing, and the swing direction at impact.

The Line of Pressure (LoP) is the line joining the Center of Pressure (CoP) of each foot, versus the target line. There is a correlation between the direction of the LoP during transition, downswing, and the swing direction at impact. The ball trajectory is influenced by the way you are moving the CoP under each foot between heels and toes! The LoP is also related with your ability to generate some torque as well as creating more horizontal rotational speed.

The way this line of pressure changes its direction from transition to follow through is directly related to your ability to generate rotation around the vertical axis.

This is key to getting more club head speed! By working the Line of Pressure with S2M force plates, you can influence the swing direction and the amount of rotational speed you can create.
